Bodies in Echo: “Trilogy of Street Performing Arts” is a project that connects the stories of women and LGBTQIA+ people living in Barcelona, ​​recovering their memories and experiences through participatory creative processes. We will facilitate spaces for artistic expression and reflection on their memories, rights, and struggles. The trilogy will address three key themes: work and labor rights, migration and freedom of movement, and gender dissidence and expression.

Through workshops, we will conduct three participatory performance creation labs (Raval, Hospitalet de Llobregat, and Sant Andreu), in partnership with “Creadoness Textil,” “Mujeres Pa’lante,” and “Utopía Barcelona,” with women and gender dissidents, building on previous experiences with “Teatro en Movimiento Callejerx” (Street Theater in Motion). The creative process will culminate in three open performance pieces in public spaces, accompanied by a batucada (percussion ensemble) that will provide the trilogy’s powerful sound signature.
